International Baccalaureate Spotlight

One of our goals is to increase student participation and engagement in the life of the school. Our new schedule will enable us to do some things that we could not before. This year each Wednesday, we will have a club and activity time (Learning Connections) during the school day. Learning Connections will run on a “Gold Week” and “Blue Week” alternating weeks, so students will be able to select and participate in two clubs/activities during school time. Clubs can use this time to organize and plan activities, team building, etc.  Extra time during the period can be used at sponsors' discretion. Students will be given information about the many activities and clubs available and sign up during their Advisory Period in the month of August. We plan on beginning the Learning Connection time after Labor Day.

noglasses.jpgWe are currently working on the DHS budget. The SLT at DHS works on the insructional budget. Please see the following drafts. Theses budgets will be presented to the School Board on Monday, May 26th at 9am at Westchester in the Board Room. The SLT will meet that evening at 5:30, as well, in the DHS Media Center.  Please feel free to review and ask questions. Please note these are drafts.
