Helping Our Student Athletes Bring Their "A" Game.
Athletic Boosters—Decatur Bulldog Boosters (DBB)
The Decatur Bulldog Boosters (DBB) support all sports at Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School. An informative weekly e-mail, including game highlights and scores and interesting team information, is sent to a list including the Booster Club membership and interested alumni and community fans.
If you have information concerning Decatur High School or Renfroe Middle School athletics that should be included in these updates, please send it to parent, Vicki Ainslie at dbabc@dhsparents.org. All contributions are appreciated, especially game highlights submitted by parents attending away games.

DBB Purpose
- To engender, foster and promote the athletic program, school spirit, and community involvement related to Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School;
- To assist and support the School Administration, faculty members and community coaches involved in the administration and conduct of the interscholastic athletic program;
- To raise funds for uniforms, equipment, and other aspects of the athletic programs as identified by the School Administration, Athletic Director, and Club members. No part of the funds raised shall inure to the benefit of the Club members.
The Decatur Bulldog Boosters is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting the student-athletes in City Schools of Decatur.
Senior Project Aimed at Benefiting Healthy Living for Youth
As many of you know, Decatur High School has implemented a Senior Project program to help seniors recognize the importance of becoming self-motivated and independent individuals by learning to apply their networking, project management, and communication skills through the implementation of an actual project. DHS Senior Connor Stubbs has taken these goals to heart as his "Goals for Good" fundraising program, and senior project, is aimed at benefiting programs that encourage exercise and healthy living for youth throughout Decatur. Connor has joined forces with the Decatur Bulldog Boosters to help get the word out and to administer the program. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Decatur Education Foundation's (DEF) efforts to keep our kids healthy, as well as to the Decatur Bulldog Boosters (DBB) who contribute to the
Middle and High School athletic programs. But Connor and the youth of Decatur NEED YOUR HELP!!! Please plan on contributing to this innovative fundraiser while following your favorite springtime sport at Renfroe Middle and/or Decatur High schools.
Here's how it works! Anyone in the community, be they parents, teachers, or community members at large, can pledge any amount of money on the performance of any or all of Decatur's spring sports teams. Pledges are based upon selected stats for boys and girls soccer, boys and girls lacrosse, boys and girls tennis, track and field, and baseball.
For example, someone could pledge to give one dollar for every goal scored by the DHS lacrosse team, or give 25 cents for every strikeout the baseball team records, or both. There is one stat per each sport (two for baseball) upon which to pledge. At the end of the spring season each individual that pledged will be notified of their total donation. Half of the proceeds will benefit the DBB to support the athletes who work so hard to provide the stats which fuel this fundraiser, and the other half goes toward DEF's efforts to benefit healthy living for younger children throughout Decatur. So, come on Decatur! Pick a sport, pick a stat and contribute to a terrific senior project and a terrific cause!!!
