Win? In literature? That's what we do. Sign up in December and January to compete with the Decatur High Literary Team in such areas as dramatic interpretation, extemporaneous speaking, essay, and more. After the sign-up, you practice for your event and then travel with the team to literary laud. |

This is a group of students which competes in math against other students from other schools on certain Saturdays throughout the year. . Pay close attention to morning announcements for dates of upcoming competitions. |
There is no regular meeting, and any student who participates in any one competition is not required to participate in any other. See Mr Hudson in 218. |
Mock Trial team |

The Mock Trial team competes in an annual tournament sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia. Students play roles as attorneys and witnesses in a simulated court case. |
Practices are 7-9 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays from November to March. Look and listen for announcements of meetings. |

Honor and Service organization: In their junior year, students who have at least an 88 average (not rounded up) are asked to submit short narratives intended to demonstrate that they not only have done well academically, but also have leadership abilities, good character and a willingness to volunteer(service). The entire faculty will have an opportunity to evaluate all eligible students. A faculty council will review all submitted material and make a final decision about the membership. |
