Course Description
The focus of this course is to further the students’ knowledge and application of the actor’s process studied in Drama I. Students will work independently, inpairs, and in groups, to write, rehearse, and perform a production that represents an advanced understanding and application of the actor’s process.
Course Objectives
By the completion of the course, the students should be able to:
- Be heard on stage without a microphone
- Effectively use body positions and movement to convey story
- Apply auditioning techniques in a mock audition
- Memorize and perform a monolog and scene study representing both comedic and dramatic elements
- Analyze the works of accomplished actors in diverse character roles in film
- Create and perform a production before a live audience.
Participation: 25%
Participating- On stage in major and minor performances
As an attentive, respectful, and objective audience member
In individual and ensemble rehearsals
In groups discussions and class lessons
Reflections
Preparation: 25%
Prepared with lines, blocking, and props, etc…
