Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO)

DCA CTSO

Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are a vital part of Career and Technical Education (CTE), helping students build real-world skills in leadership, teamwork, and career development. Rooted in the traditions of trade guilds and apprenticeships, CTSOs have evolved into powerful learning tools supported by federal education policy since 1917.

Today, CTSOs provide students with opportunities for hands-on learning, leadership training, and national recognition. When integrated into the classroom by skilled educators, CTSOs help students develop the career, personal, and leadership skills needed to succeed in the workforce and in their communities.
