Decatur High School
Decatur High School (DHS) is a comprehensive public high school in Decatur, Georgia, a vibrant urban community of 20,000 residents located just five miles east of downtown Atlanta. As part of an independent school district within DeKalb County, DHS serves a diverse student body of approximately 1,900 students.
A proud IB World School, DHS provides a rigorous, internationally recognized curriculum. All students participate in the IB Middle Years Program, laying a strong academic foundation. For 11th and 12th graders, DHS offers both the IB Diploma Program (DP) and the IB Career-related Program (CP), along with a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses, Honors courses, and Dual Enrollment opportunities. These challenging, college-level programs allow students to earn college credit and prepare for higher education, with IB students taking their exams at the end of their senior year.
