Governor's Honors Program (GHP)

What is GHP?

• A 4-week summer program for exceptional students
• Provides highly motivated, highly talented students with challenging and enriching in-depth educational opportunities
• Operates at no cost to the student
• Is housed at the Georgia Southern University Campus
• Only 1% of sophomores and juniors in the state are nominated to state-level interviews

• Engineering (Computer Programming; Mechanical Design; Mechanical & Electronic)
• Mathematics
• Music (Instrumental; Vocal)
• Science (Biology/Environmental Science; Chemistry; Physics)
• Social Studies
• Theatre Performance
• Visual Arts
• World Languages (Chinese; French; German; Latin; Spanish)

Interested in GHP?

• Students, if you are interested in possibly participating, look out for a Google Form in your CSD email on 9/10/25.
• If you do not receive the email/form, please notify Eleta Andrews: eandrews@csdecatur.net
• Students must complete the form by 9/16/25, in order to receive the informational video, invitation to a live Q&A session, and to be considered in the first round of selection.
• Be sure to include your area of interest on the form!
