English Overview

English Department Mission Statement

The English department’s mission is to support and empower students with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to meet the literacy challenges of the future.

We strive to help students to develop:

*Written mastery

that will enhance their future success in life.

Ms. Wilson's Creative Writing students created the 2024 Literary Magazine. The magazine is over 80 pages!  A BIG THANKS to the entire DHS English Department for promoting the magazine in your classes. This year we had 100 students contribute to the magazine through their writing, artwork, and through the production process.
