Math Overview

The Mathematics Department of DHS offers both on-level and accelerated pathways that integrate the study of traditional branches of math like algebra, geometry, and trigonometry with the study of functions, probability, statistics, calculus, logic, computer science, and mathematical systems. We also offer AB Calculus, BC Calculus, AP Statistics, and two Standard-Level International Baccalaureate (IB) courses. All courses and levels of study are inquiry-based and are designed to help students develop conceptual understanding, build strong problem-solving skills, and learn to apply critical and creative thinking skills to real-world challenges and problems.
