Citing Sources

DHS uses different formats (MLA, APA and Chicago) when citing sources, so be sure to check with your teacher before starting your works cited page. The best place to create a Works Cited page is to use Noodle Tools, which can be found in the Research Toolkit folder on Launchpad. Other citation generators to use are:

• EasyBib
• KnightCite

Note that citation generators are good starting places, but that they always need to be proofread, as they have mistakes a majority of the time.  For a sample of what a proper citation should look like, look at the following links:

• Chicago examples

Your works cited page will go at the end of your paper.  However, when you use information from a source in your paper you will need to use an in-text citation right there.  This is a simple reference and can be done by following these simple GUIDELINES.
